After a year’s absence from the calendar, the 2018 OVO Energy Tour Series will head into Wales for a welcome return to Aberystwyth.

Wedged between Cardigan Bay and the Cambrian Mountains, Aberystwyth is Ceredigion’s largest town.  It’s a lively university town and shopping centre but still small enough to be relaxed and friendly.  A Blue Flag beach, live entertainment at the bandstand, a pier and a mile-long promenade make it one of Wales’ favourite seaside resort. There’s a lively arts scene with theatres and galleries and no shortage of great places to eat and drink.

Must dos in town

  • Stroll along the prom and take in the views across the Bay – you may even spot a dolphin or two.  Don’t forget to kick the bar at the northern end.
  • Climb up Constitution Hill (or take the funicular railway) for spectacular views of Cardigan Bay.
  • Get a taste for coastal walking along the two mile path to Clarach.
  • Take the steam train to Devil’s Bridge and Hinterland
  • Sit back and relax with a local ale, a bite to eat and some amazing sunsets.
  • Looking for somewhere to stay? Call at Aberystwyth Information Centre for advice from those in the know. Pop upstairs to the museum while you’re there and treat yourself to coffee and cake.
