The opening round of this year’s Sportsbreaks.com Tour Series in Guisborough will feature a number of community events before the elite men’s and women’s races.

Family-friendly activities will be taking place from 12pm on Bank Holiday Monday (2 May) around the town, with the professional racing following at 4pm.

The packed race day schedule includes the following activities in these locations:

Westgate (from 12pm): British Cycling and Cleveland Wheelers skills events, Let’s Circus trick school, Slo:Rida street theatre

Chaloner Street (from 12pm): Face painting, Submercycle street theatre, The Flycycle, Festival of Thrift Trike

Sunnyfield House (from 12pm): Birds of Prey Man

Gisborough Priory (from 12pm): Everyone Active exhibits and competitions, Wheels For All cycling projects, various arts and crafts activities

Throughout the town (from 12:30pm): Backchat Brass band, Fact Cat Brass band
