Dean Downing helped the Madison team to a victory in the Cyclist Magazine Canary Wharf Corporate Grand Prix on Thursday night.

Downing, of the Madison Genesis professional team, joined the team from his sponsors Madison to emulate his brother Russell’s victory from 12-months ago in the ProAm event.

Eleven teams from some of Canary Wharf’s biggest tenants and Pearl Izumi Tour Series sponsors were on the startline.

Madison took the early lead, before Cyclist Magazine fought back to lead midway through the six lap relay, but Downing started the final lap in the lead and Spin Rotor – Primal – C-Original’s Colin Parry couldn’t catch him for Cyclist.

Madison join Barclays, Thomson Reuters and Clifford Chance as winners of the Canary Wharf event.
