Having sponsored the past two years of the UK Tours, Festina’s long association with world-leading cycling events will continue for the next five years as their sponsorship of The Tour of Britain and Pearl Izumi Tour Series expands to the new Women’s Tour.

Already having benchmarked the Official Timekeeper of The Tour of Britain, the UK’s biggest professional cycle race since 2012, Festina will also take on the role for The Women’s Tour, Britain’s first international level women’s stage race, between 7 – 11 May. In particular their new association with the Women’s Tour will offer focus and support in women’s cycling, positioning it as a highly credible sport in the UK.

For over 40-years, Festina have maintained a strong link with cycling, proof of this is its presence during all this time in the most important events of this sport, as Official Timekeeper or as sponsor of teams; in particular in cycling events including Tour de France, the Giro d’Italia and Spain’s Vuelta a España.

"We are delighted to not only be appointed the Official Timekeeper for the UK tour, but we can now celebrate a five year deal along with supporting the Women’s Tour. As a brand we will support and offer our commitment to boost UK cycling in both the men’s and women’s tours"

Official clocks and branding will also appear at The Pearl Izumi Tour Series, which runs at 10 venues during May and June before a final round on Jersey as a part of the Festival of Cycling, 13-15 June.

The Tour of Britain runs from 7 – 14 September, beginning in Liverpool and finishing in central London. Festina will continue as Official Timekeeper to The Tour of Britain, a role the company has fulfilled for the past two editions of the highly successful race, which has now been upgraded to 2.HC level by the UCI for 2014 and beyond.
