Isle of Man Cyclefest presented by Isle of Man Bank has confirmed the line up of its guest team in the opening round of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series Race in Ramsey on Thursday 12 May.

The five man team, which will be managed by Isle of Man Cyclefest ambassador Andrew Roche and coached by Andrew and fellow ambassador Rob Holden, features four riders from the Isle of Man and experienced Planet X Northside rider Martin Ford from Newcastle under Lyme.

The Manx team includes two 17 year olds – Conor Davies who has won a Junior Revolution Series Race for Team WIGGINS and the Isle of Man Cycling Association rider Owen Dudley.  Robin Garry, who rides for team Isle of Man and finished 28th in the recent Manx International GP and Pedal Heaven Academy rider Tom Mazzone, who was runner up in the Pontefract Grand Prix, complete the line-up.

The team will go head to head with the UCI continental level professional teams in this afternoon’s two-lap team Time Trial at Mooragh Park, which will be a curtain raiser for the evening’s main event the Pearl Izumi Tour Series Race.

Make sure you're following @tourseries on Twitter for updates throughout the day.

The team will race under the Isle of Man Cyclefest name and will race in Isle of Man Cyclefest liveried kit that has been specially produced for the race.

Team Manager and Isle of Man Cyclefest presented by Isle of Man Bank Ambassador Andrew Roche commented:

“This is a great opportunity for the Manx cyclists to get some experience in a high profile race.  I’m confident that the lads will give a good account of themselves and it is a great opportunity to show what they can to do. I hope that as many people as possible get down to the Mooragh Park tonight and get behind the Isle of Man Cyclefest team as there is nothing quite like the excitement and noise that can be generated in short course racing.”

Highlights of the Isle of Man round of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series will be shown on ITV4 on Monday 16 May at 1900 with a repeat the following afternoon at 1300.  Programmes will also be available on demand via the ITV Player.
