?Britain’s fastest cycling teams will race into London this week, with two action packed televised race’s at Croydon (Tuesday) and Canary Wharf (Thursday).

The unique team based Pearl Izumi Tour Series returns to the world famous business and shopping district of Canary Wharf for the sixth time, but before that will make its first appearance in Croydon.

Starting and finishing on North End in the town centre, Britain’s top professional cyclists including Olympic Champion Ed Clancy, Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Tom Scully and the squad of Team WIGGINs, will race for one-hour from 1930 on the 1.1-kilometre circuit.

Tuesday’s event in South London will also see Round Three of the women’s Matrix Fitness Grand Prix Series at 1730 with a field that will include World Track Champion Katie Archibald, British Criterium Champion Eileen Roe and current Series leader Nikki Juniper.

48-hours later and the men’s Pearl Izumi Tour Series resumes for Round Eight at Canary Wharf, using a 1-kilometre circuit around Canada Square.

Ahead of the professional race at 1930, amateur racers from some of Canary Wharf’s biggest tenants plus Series partners will take part in the Costa Express Canary Wharf Corporate Grand Prix. Held over six circuits of the circuit, five riders will be partnered with a professional from one of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series teams in a ProAm relay format.

Highlights of both rounds of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series will be shown on ITV4 on Wednesday (2200) and Friday (2200) respectively.
