Thursday night’s Pearl Izumi Tour Series saw Commonwealth Games Bronze medallist James McCallum making his final appearance in the unique team based Series.

Having raced in The Pearl Izumi Tour Series since its inception in 2009, James has been one of the mainstays of the Series every May and June.

McCallum's attention now turns to this Summer's Commonwealth Games on home roads and track in Glasgow after which he will bow out from his racing career. But before he could head off, we asked him for his Series memories to accompany this article.

Favourite Tour Series memory?
Winning the Series in 2011 with Rapha Condor Sharp.

Favourite Tour Series race?
Would have to say Edinburgh as it was my home round and a brutal race!

Favourite, or best Tour Series teammate?
It’s hard to pick one, can I have three? Ed [Clancy] for being just super cool and crazy talented, Deano [Downing] for being such a great mate in hard times, Kristian [House] for being super reliable.

Best rider you raced against in The Tour Series?
Between Ed and Haylesy [Rob Hayles], hard to pick!

Funniest Tour Series moment?
When Briggsy [Graham Briggs] did the wheelie at Blackpool and fell off the back of his bike. Haha #classicBriggo

Everyone at SweetSpot would like to wish James all the best, and thank him for the past six seasons of competition, which we look back upon in the below photo special.
