Full results from Round Six of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series as the teams tackle the cobbles in Durham with defending champions Madison Genesis looking to close the gap on JLT Condor at the top of the team standings.

Team Raleigh GAC picked up their first team victory of the 2016 Tour Series after a great display saw them finish with 4 riders in the top eight.

JLT Condor finished second on the night to extend their lead over defending champions Madison Genesis in the overall team competition.

In the individual competition JLT Condor’s Jon Mould made Tour Series history by winning his third consecutive round after previously picking up victories in Redditch and Aberystwyth. In the process Mould also became the most successful individual rider in Tour Series history after claiming his 9th win to move clear of fellow team-mate Ed Clancy. The Tour Series records didn’t stop tumbling there for Mould though as tonight’s victory also meant he was the first person to claim 4 individual wins in a single Tour Series year.

Following Mould across the line was Harry Tanfield (Pedal Heaven) in second, an brilliant ride from the young local rider, followed by NFTO’s Johnny McEvoy in third.

In the Chain Reaction Cycles Points competition JLT Condor’s Chris Lawless was the winner on the night but it wasn’t enough to stop Rory Townsend (Pedal Heaven), who wasn’t riding tonight, from still leading the competition and wearing the leaders jersey at the next round in Stoke.

There was further success for Pedal Heaven on the night as Jack Pullar set the Brother Cycling fastest lap in a time of 02:09:42.

Pearl Izumi Tour Series standings following Round 6:

1) JLT Condor, 65 pts
2) Madison Genesis, 59 pts
3) Team Raleigh GAC, 56 pts
4) Pedal Heaven, 53 pts
