The Brother Corporate Grand Prix offers local businesses in Edinburgh the chance to race against each other on the Tour Series closed road circuit before relaxing and watching the professionals show you how it’s done!

Businesses are invited to enter teams of five riders, who will then be joined by a professional cyclist, to take on the Scottish capital circuit from 18:00 before the professional Tour Series race gets underway at 19:30.

Each rider will complete a lap of the iconic 1.6 kilometre circuit at the heart of the world famous business and shopping district in a relay format before the team’s professional rider will then take on the last lap dash to the line.

As part of the package the team will then enjoy 5 VIP hospitality places to watch the UK’s best domestic teams take on the very same circuit whilst enjoying complimentary food and drink from the best seat in the house.

Alongside that teams can also take up the option to have their very own custom jerseys produced with the company branding to make the event extra special.

The Edinburgh event will also be extra special as the Brother Corporate Grand Prix will raise money in aid of former Tour Series Champion James McCallum’s Ride for Charlene, in memory of his late sister. 2011 Champion McCallum, who was among the riders on the Series’ last visit to Edinburgh, will be aiming to break Mark Beaumont’s non-stop, 38-hour, 500-mile ride around the coast of Scotland this June to raise money for Thrombosis UK.

“Edinburgh is one of the most beautiful cities you can race your bike in so it’s a real privilege to have an event here, it’s really something quite special,” said James McCallum.

“It’s one of those courses that has a bit of everything, a cobbled climb, a descent, so you’ve really got to look after yourself and not go into the red too soon, or you’ll never come back out of it. The changes they have made to the course this year are great and will make the race even more competitive. It’ll be a better race to race, and an even better race to watch.”

If you needed any extra incentive to get some training in before the big race the winning team will receive 5 VIP Tour Club hospitality places at a 2016 Tour of Britain or Aviva Women’s Tour stage of their choosing!
