Having recently confirmed a new name for 2015 following a partnership with Velosure Cycle Insurance, the Velosure Starley Primal team yesterday announced their line-up for next season.

Taking the sponsor’s name to become Velosure Starley Primal for 2015, the team under the continued management of James Smith have strengthened, including a trio of international riders.

Having competed in the Pearl Izumi Tour Series for the past two seasons, and having appeared as a guest team in 2011, riders such as former British Hillclimb Champion Jack Pullar and Scottish Champion David Lines remain, along with Josh Burns.

Spaniard Adria Moreno-Sala, Frenchman Marius Cordier and American Joe Petrowski all add international flavour, while Tom Smith, a Silver medallist in the Deaflympics also joins for 2015.

Commenting on the announcement, Team Manager James Smith said;

“We’re really excited about the team for 2015 – we’ve got a great mix of British and international talent who are all eager to excel and be at the forefront of events in the racing calendar. The new riders will make us a force to be reckoned with across all race disciplines.”

“The addition of Adrià, Marius and Joe is an exciting new venture for the team. This is the first time we’ve signed riders from abroad and we’re sure that their talent will help us to develop the team even further – Adrià in particular is certainly one to watch.

“We’re proud to have such as prestigious sponsor supporting us and we are certain that Velosure’s involvement will allow us to progress further in the New Year.”

One of a small number of UK teams to have both men and women’s squads, Velosure Starley Primal will announce their 2015 women’s line-up in the coming weeks.  One rider who won’t be among their line-up is 2014 Matrix Fitness GP Series Champion Eileen Roe, who has progressed on from the squad to join the UCI level Wiggle Honda team after an impressive season.
